Buraidah Tijan Mall
Representing the PMC on a major retail development in Buraidah, with responsibility for technical submittal review, site inspections, finishing quality, NCR management, contractor coordination and factory inspections for electrical equipment.
Tijan Mall is a large-scale retail and mixed-use development in Buraidah, Saudi Arabia. The project includes retail, food & beverage, a cinema, a hypermarket and extensive parking. Compass Project Consulting represents the client as PMC during construction.
At this stage of a major development, quality control depends on keeping technical approvals, site inspections, contractor work and off-site equipment testing moving together. The role requires close review of submitted documents, timely site inspections and verification of equipment before it reaches the project.
- Represents the PMC in monitoring contractor compliance with project specifications, IFC drawings and approved ITPs.
- Reviews technical submittals including method statements, material submissions and shop drawings.
- Conducts regular inspections across structural, architectural and finishing works.
- Manages NCRs from identification and root-cause analysis through corrective action and closure.
- Oversees quality requirements for landscaping and external works, including paving, kerbs, irrigation, grading and drainage.
- Witnesses factory acceptance testing of project equipment before shipment to site.

Lucy Electric — Customer Inspection & Witness Test
Customer inspection and witness testing for RMU switchgear supplied to the Buraidah Tijan Mall project. Haris attended on behalf of Compass Project Consulting, representing the PMC during the inspection and review of the equipment.
The accompanying witness test certificate records routine testing carried out against the applicable IEC requirements, providing documented evidence of the inspection and testing process.

Bahra TBS — 2,000 kVA Transformer Factory Acceptance Test
Factory Acceptance Test for a 2,000 kVA cast-resin transformer supplied for the Buraidah Tijan Mall project. The recorded test program covered insulation, applied voltage, winding resistance, no-load and load losses, short-circuit impedance, voltage ratio and final dimensional and accessory checks. Haris is recorded as a witness in his Senior QC Engineer role.

The project is currently ongoing. FATs witnessed to date have passed on first submission, while technical submittal reviews and inspections continue alongside the contractor's programme.
